Yoyogi-Uehara's pride and joy: Japan's largest and most beautiful mosque, Tokyo Camii
It is a symbol of Yoyogi-Uehara and a famous spot that has been featured on television. The highlights are the stunning decorations and stained glass made from architectural materials imported from the country. Everyone is captivated by their overwhelming beauty. It is also a very rare place where a mosque, a sacred place for Muslims, is open to the public. There is also a Turkish Cultural Center next door that introduces Islam and Turkish culture, so you can take a tour of the building and even experience cooking. I would like to experience foreign cultures while showing good manners and respect.

The elegant and tasteful Komaba Park adjacent to the former Maeda residence
In addition to the Japanese and Western-style buildings of the former Marquis Maeda residence, which is an important cultural property, the park also houses a literature museum. Since there are opening hours, the park is well-maintained and has large trees, making it a very beautiful park. Unlike parks that focus on playground equipment, this is a relaxing spot for adults to enjoy history and culture. In spring, the park is crowded with people viewing the magnificent cherry blossoms. The large tree in the back is worth a look. You can pass through from behind this tree towards Komaba.

View the historical architecture of the former Marquis Maeda residence in Komaba Park
Within Komaba Park, there is a Western-style building and a Japanese-style building, both with three stories above ground and one below, belonging to Marquis Maeda Toshinari, the 16th head of the Maeda family. It has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and this incredibly beautiful structure is open to the public free of charge. The interior of the mansion incorporates the British Tudor style, and you will be overwhelmed by the gorgeous beauty of the details, such as the decorated fixtures and stained glass.

A purely Japanese-style building connected to the former Western-style residence of Marquis Maeda
The Japanese-style building, which is said to have been connected to the Western-style building by a corridor, is purely Japanese in style, and unlike the Western-style building, it has a neat and dignified feel. From the vast Japanese-style room, you can see the well-maintained garden, which also has a waterfall-like spot. I would like to spend a relaxing time sitting on the veranda and looking at the garden.

Rediscover the beauty of ceramics, dyed and woven textiles, wood lacquer, and tools! Japan Folk Crafts Museum
This art museum exhibits traditional Japanese crafts as well as crafts from Asia and Europe. It was founded by Yanagi Muneyoshi, an art researcher who promoted the folk art movement. You can rediscover the beauty of folk art (folk crafts) and also enjoy the historical architecture. The polished antique wooden architecture matches the crafts to create a wonderful space.

Detour
A detour spot between Tokyo Camii and Komaba Park
Uehara Nakadori Shopping Street and its surrounding areas
If you head towards Shibuya along Inokashira Street from Tokyo Camii, you will come to the intersection with Uehara Shopping Street at Uehara 2-chome intersection.
Turn right there and head towards Komaba, and along the way there are lunch, sweets and general stores.
